Relationship Information Online And Its Value

It is amazing how you can find almost anything you want online, including relationship information. Naturally, I have looked at what others offer to those in need of help. In some cases I see slightly modified, basic Western psychology. Other sites offer a fresh and practical approach. I believe fully in what I offer people through The Marriage Foundation. People want the truth. And the flood of information on the Internet allows people to make up their own minds as to what they regard as true. I definitely believe most people offering advice online are sincere, but I have seen some people use pop psychology and slick phrases to entice people to use their ineffective “products.”

Our world is evolving very quickly. In another generation or two, all of the new information you find via the Internet will be common knowledge; that is my hope. It is my dream that the divorce rate will go back to the 2% or 3% that makes sense. It is my dream that the relationship information I share online will be old hat and taught in elementary schools before too long. But for now, the Internet is “school” for all of us. As individuals, we have to take responsibility for separating truth from fiction. It’s up to us to compare notes, study, try new things, see what works, and then share what we know with others.

I find that the comments section does a great service to the community. By seeing other people’s experiences who are not trying to “sell us,” we can learn more about fulfilling our needs. Relationship information online is a great idea.

My relationship advice to you, which you can find repeated on The Marriage Foundation website, is to always remember to tell your spouse or your significant other, “I love you.”
